Senator Marco Rubio

Chairman, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Human Rights Subcommittee & Commissioner, Helsinki Commission

Since arriving in the Senate in January 2011, Rubio has fought against the Washington establishment’s big government vision. With assignments on the Special Committee on Aging, the Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Foreign Relations, the Select Committee on Intelligence, and the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Rubio is focused on reforming our government and keeping Americans safe. He is committed to working with members of both parties on commonsense solutions, and whenever necessary, standing alone as a check and balance.

Rubio has spent most of his life in West Miami, and lives there today with his wife Jeanette and their four children. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 1993 and his juris doctor from the University of Miami Law School in 1996 and felt drawn to serve through public office.
